The Hawaii Prostate Cancer Coalition (HPCC) is a prostate cancer support organization, founded in 2005 by its first President, Phil Olsen.
We are affiliated with the National Alliance of State Prostate Cancer Coalitions ( NASPCC). HPCC has an Advisory Board and selected members who are knowledgeable about prostate cancer and medicine, but we do not provide medical advice.
HPCC and its individual Board Members are also allied with the Hawaii support groups of Us TOO International. US TOO provides online and person-to-person peer assistance to those with questions about prostate cancer. Local support groups are open to anyone, including spouses, without charge. Further information on these groups can be found on our Support Groups page.
The Mission of HPCC is to advocate awareness, resources, and information about prostate cancer to men and their families, to reduce pain and suffering, and to promote responsible decision-making in prostate health
The Functions of HPCC are:
To disseminate information regarding prostate cancer
To advocate for and facilitate care and treatment
To coordinate action among other support groups and
To represent members at state and national forums
HPCC is a 501 (c)(3) non-proft organization eligible for tax-deductible donations.
