The Us TOO national organization was founded in 1990 by five men who had been treated for prostate cancer. The mission of Us TOO is to help men and their families make informed decisions about prostate cancer detection, treatment, and survivorship through support, education, and advocacy. Us TOO meetings provide men and their families with free information, materials and peer-to-peer support.
Us Too Hawaii meets via Zoom on the 3rd Monday of most months. The meeting is available to our members and others affected by prostate cancer, wherever you are.
While all are welcome to join our monthly virtual meetings without joining, Us TOO Hawaii members receive other articles/videos of interest related to prostate cancer and advance notices of our monthly meetings.
Click Here to download the Us TOO Hawaii Support Group membership application. You may print it out, complete and sign it, and return it by email to Gary Kim at [email protected]. If you do not have scan capability (or prefer), please call Gary Kim at 808-486-9675 for a mailing address.
The UsTOO-Hawaii prostate cancer support group is continuing to sponsor monthly virtual meetings for prostate cancer awareness and education on a Zoom platform. All UsTOO members and outside guests are welcome to participate.
Our next virtual UsTOO meeting will be on Monday,Feb. 17, 2025 from 7 pm to 9 pm.
Agenda: TBA
We look forward to your participation in the meeting and hope that it will be of benefit and interest to all.
To join the meeting, just click the link above. There is no RSVP required in advance of the event. It is recommended that you join the meeting a little before 7 pm just to be sure your login goes smoothly. Follow the instructions on your device (tablet, phone, desktop computer.) Because there are so many different types of devices, the steps will vary. Our Zoom Host will place you in a "waiting room" and you will then be admitted to the meeting. Your audio may be muted when you enter. It is strongly advised that you do a dry run a few days before the meeting. Joining is not difficult, but some people do run into challenges the first time.
Note: If you join the meeting late (by more than 30 minutes) or if you exit the meeting during the video presentation, you will be placed in a “waiting room” until the video presentation has been completed. you will be placed in the “waiting room” until the video is completed.
Note for first time participants: If you are joining our meeting for the first time, when you establish a “ZOOM” account, we would appreciate it very much if you would use your first and last name (in lieu of initials, nicknames, etc.) as your display name. It will help to identify those who are participating in the meeting and to identify you to other members who may not be familiar with you, especially if you are speaking. For those of you who already have established “ZOOM” account names which are not in that format, we would appreciate it if you would go into your "settings" and change your display name to your first and last name for the same reason.
We hope you can log on satisfactorily. If you have any questions during your dry run or on the day of the meeting, call Gary Kim at 808-486-9675. We look forward to your participation at the meeting. Gary H. Kim 808-486-9675 Email: [email protected]
